An improved Croc for work.,
I’ll just start this out by saying, yes, Crocs are ugly.
However, when you work in healthcare on your feet for hours, you stop caring so much about that. Having feet and legs that don’t ache at the end of the day is worth wearing shoes that are not attractive. It took me a while, but I’ve gotten to the point that I can accept that I own and wear Crocs.
I bought a pair of the Mercy Work in white to replace my two year old Specialists. In my opinion, they are a vast improvement over the specialists and regular Crocs.
First of all, while you’re still not going to win any fashion contests in these, they are much more attractive. They have a slimmer fit and don’t look as huge on the foot. There are no holes or vents in these. While your feet may not be as cool, you also won’t get wet socks or feet. The silver flower detail on these is a cute touch.
The bottom has black “croc lock” anti-slip soles. They really do help – I don’t slip and slide on wet spots in these like I did with my Specialists.
I also find these more comfortable. The sole is a bit thicker, and there is more arch support than traditional crocs have. They have a deeper heel cup and are enclosed to better meet workplace standards.
I would recommend the Mercy Works to anyone who works on their feet and likes the soft feel of Crocs, but would rather avoid the boatlike appearance. They are a vast improvement on past Crocs. I alternate these with a pair of Birks clogs, and my feet are always happy, even after a hard shift.

Best Croc work shoe ever!,
I love these Crocs. They have a slightly narrower look so while they are still roomy they are much more attractive. Also the decorative strip is really cute. More importantly they are super comfortable. My feet feel good even after a 12 hour shift. I also find that the tread does not grab the smooth tile floors at work like my regular Crocs do so I’m not constantly tripping on nothing.

Rdiculously comfortable,
Like a lot of medical professionals, I started wearing Crocs when they first came out because they are sooo comfortable. And, like a lot of others had to quit when we were not allows to wear shoes with holes in the tops.
I have not revisited them since they came out with the solid tops but now I wish I had not waited so long! My feet have not hurt since I started wearing them. Even at the end of fourteen hours standing.
Also, I love the new sole. No more of those occasional ‘stumble steps’ from the shoe catching on the floor. And they are very easy to clean. A damp cloth and they look new again.
I am in love with Crocs all over again.
