Dansko shoes, particularly the professional clogs (worn by all the nurses in my local hospital ICU, by the way) have the BEST arch support in the world, in my opinion. I have Dansko shoes in four colors, plus several different styles. I wear a size “39″ (European sizing), which is somewhere between a woman’s 8 1/2 and 9. The only drawback (other than the fact that they aren’t very sexy) is that the thick rubber sole (which helps give the shoe the arch it needs) tends to cause me to trip and sometimes I almost twist my ankle on hardwood or tile, so be aware of this possible problem if you order a pair. As noted above, I own a lot of Dansko shoes, so don’t let this problem stop you from trying a pair.
If you have plantar fasciitis or a very high arch that tends to “fall” or otherwise hurt, try Dansko, Merrell and Nike’s Shox (especially the Navina model). Recommended!

The leather finish on these shoes seems to scuff faster than what I’ve had in the past (oiled leather). Besides that, these clogs are the comfortable shoes I’ve come to depend on.

This is my first pair of Dansko shoes and I’m… absolutely delighted. It delivered everything that it is known for – comfort, fit, versatility and umm..yes, it looks professional too. I am in health care and walk on several different turfs in one day – home, school, office, hospital, outdoors in the snow and sleet…..These shoes glide through it all!
They do tend to run a little roomy which was great for me as I prefer wide sizes. One suggestion, wear them for increasing periods of time daily until you feel comfortable enough to wear them all day. When I first tried them, they felt a bit rigid and inflexible especialy in the sole, after a week I didn’t even notice it. I bought them in a local store simply because I wasn’t sure of the fit but Amazon definitely seems to have a much better price. Now that I’m looking into some Mary Jane styles by Dansko for spring, I know where to buy them next. Can’t wait!

Dansko shoes are the best shoe for people that are on their feet for hours. I am a missionary RN and I run medical clinics in the most remote places in the South Pacific. I am on my feet running all day with my line of work. Some of the conditions can be deplorable and yet my Danskos hold up for years and keep me focused on my patients rather than my sore feet. I cannot recommend my shoes to most of the people I care for because often they cannot afford shoes let alone specialized Danskos, but when I am state side and I meet waitresses, and others on their feet I am quick to tell them, “Get a pair and see if they don’t change your life.”
The Dansko Professional Cabrio Clog pull up is a bit different from the original professional clog, as it seems to be softer and have more cushion in the heel as well as propels the foot forward better when you walk. You can actually push in the heel with your thumb nail and it will give some, the other is solid and won’t give, makes for a harder, heavier shoe. The pull up is a softer, kinder shoe with all the support benefits from a Dansko. It fits the same though as the other professionals true to size.
Hope this helps. Dansko is worth the money and always looks good and professional, yet it doesn’t scream “Fancy-Rich American” when there are those you might serve who have not.

I bought these shoes about 3 months ago based on outstanding reviews but still highly unsatisfied with the quality and comfort. After having them about 2 weeks, the toes were scuffed and shoes were still uncomfortable. So emailed the seller but never received any response. So I bought some polish and proceeded to clean them up. After 3 months, I still have to polish them and they are so uncomfortable still! I am done. . .by now the shoes should be broke in and not hurting my feet. Guess I will throw them in the back of my closet and start over. Buyer beware!!
