I have terribly bad feet, ankles, and legs, and a severely deteriorated spine at L4-L5. I also use a cane at all times.

These shoes, from Merrell, are just the best thing since sliced bread!!

Supportive, Solidly Constructed from Quality Materials, Rubber Soles (yea!) that stay soft and “grippy”, not like the “plastic stuff” used by others!! Never Slip, Always Grip, even when wet and on tile floors.

They fit and have a comfort level of slippers! How Great is That!? Softly, yet firmly, gripping your foot…you must try a pair and see what I mean! Don’t doubt my word, men, read the other reviews here, also!

Do yourself a GREAT favor, and get yourself a pair of these great, comfortable, and long-wearing shoes. I can tell you personally that the “classic taupe” and “midnight” always look well, and go with everything, and “brush up” wonderfully when soiled or skuffed looking!!

Enjoy, and wear ‘em in great comfort! ~operabruin

My husband is diabetic and his feet are very sensitive. I bought these shoes for him. He loves them. He is constanty complaining about his feet. So these are a blessing. I have a pair and I wore them all winter just about everyday. I need to buy more colors!

I too love the Jungle Mocs. I owned a pair of “Winter Mocs” for more years than I can remember, and finally pitched them only because the supports had finally broken down (the soles were getting a bit thin, but all seams and stitchings were completely intact – a triumph for Chinese made shoes, frankly). The Jungle Mocs are very easy to pull on, and in a hurry can be stepped into. In a store, I gave the sample shoe some good testing at the stitch points (hefty pulling and twisting), and the shoes passed. These really are incredible casual wear shoes. Rugged good looks (I have the “gunsmoke” suede), dry, warm, snug, and convenient. Everything you want in a dog or shoes.

I no longer shop for shoes, I only shop for more Merrell Mocs.

I can’t rave on more than others about these fine shoes, so I won’t add to their well-earned laudits.

The satisfying fact is that Merrell is a division of a company called Wolverine, who is the parent or umbrella company of Hush Puppies and also makes construction boots and the boots for the U.S. Military.

From the other reviews, it’s clear that diabetics and cripples love these shoes, but I wanted to assure potential buyers that they’re NOT orthopedics. Young, athletic, sexy guys like them too (no offense dear diabetics and cripples–I aspire to be one of you someday).

I *hate* tying my shoes. It’s such a waste of time. I treat all of my sneakers as slip-ons and I crush the heel within days. I go through shoes like there’s no tomorrow. I’ve had fitting problems before, so I was a bit skeptical of these at first, and I bought my first pair a half size too small (lamentably, I bought them in Hong Kong, so they were a tad difficult to return) to ensure a tight fit. That was completely unnecessary. After purchasing the correct size, I discovered that these things are amazingly well-designed. They magically hug your feet in the most comfortable manner–no slipping or sliding about. Oh, and they can be worn with EVERYTHING. Of course, I’m a guy…so everything can be worn with anything. But really, these shoes are beautiful.

Two days ago, I discovered something completely unexpected (I didn’t read the shoe literature…maybe it’s expected): They’re surprisingly water-resistant. It was pouring here in California (East Coast translation: “It was a tad humid”) and I stepped in a huge puddle while wearing my Gunsmoke Jungle Mocs. I flinched and waited for the gangrene to set in. Fourteen blocks and six puddles later, my feet were still dry. And did I mention I’ve been wearing this pair of shoes for over 9 months now?

After finishing this review, I am going to go buy three more pairs of Merrell Jungle Moc shoes (gunsmoke, of course). Seriously. I don’t know what I’ll do if they stop making them.
