Great but more mirrored than they appear.,
These glasses are great and function as intended. I am a pilot and they are great for my use. However be aware that they are mirrored. That may not be what you are looking for. I kept mine but wish I hadn’t gotten “grey”.

Nice, but the grip.,
I bought the polarized lensed black carbon sunglasses. I was looking for a black aviator with the right size lenses and the other models were either too small or too large. I bought these and they’re great except the grip. They slowly slip off of my face. They’re great for loungin’ around a pool, but for anything other than that they’d be off in a matter of seconds.

Coolest shades I’ve ever owned,
This is my story with the RB8301 002/N5 (Black Carbon/Green Polar.)
I haven’t bought these from amazon but I wanted to contribute with my impression about them.
I’ve never liked Ray-Ban very much. Everything I used to see was somehow stylish sunglasses but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. In my opinion most Ray-Ban sunglasses aren’t worth the high price. I also thought big sunglasses wouldn’t look nice on me.
Since these sunglasses were released I completely changed my mind. Carbon fiber is top-of-the-line material. The result is a very lightweight and flexible material, being at the same time very resistant. It’s exactly what I was waiting for: an advanced technology and material that justified the high price.
Let’s go through the PROs:
- Carbon Fiber looks really great (It’s different, though. It’s a love-or-hate thing)
- Aviator-like style with less agressive lines, exactly what I was looking for.
- Very lighweight frames
- Very resistant frames
- Polarized Crystal lens (not plastic) which make these shades a little heavier than the other Tech sunglasses (still very lightweight) and reduce glare.
- Chromatic Enhancement: to be honest I thought it was only marketing, but the thing is for real. It really makes the green look greener. Very interesting effect !
- Grip: I understand other users may have had problems with gripping but it was not my case. It’s VERY hot here in Brazil (summer) and I use to run in the beach with these sunglasses. They don’t slip or fall.
- They sit very well. I haven’t had any problems with fitting so far.
- Carbon Fiber style case. Very nice touch.
CONs:
- The price is still high, but if you take care it will last like forever.
