I know he'll be disappointed as well. The slippers were exactly as pictured tho, so this one was my fault. Pay close attention to the color of the slipper because that is the color it WILL come in. Other than that, I think they're pretty good. The padding in the sole is not very thick so if that's what you're looking for, these aren't it. The bottom of the soles is a rubberized plastic, so they can be worn outside, which I love. The logo is very nicely embroidered and the rest of the slipper is made of faux suede which feels and looks very nice. They are really warm and cushy and have a non-skid sole. When they get dirty we just stick them in the washer and let them air dry. His are getting a little worn now because they get so much use, so I got him another pair for Christmas, plus I bought a pair for myself and for my son.
