I am a strict vegetarian who does not use any animal products, so you can imagine my shock when I opened my shipment and found that there were REAL COWHIDE slippers inside!!!! The description clearly says ‘FAUX’ and the box that came was NOT faux. The description is incorrect in the listing, or someone slipped the wrong pair into the shipment by accident – TWICE!!! Either way – horrible mistake!!!! I bought a pair for my father and one for my boyfriend, who is also a strict vegetarian. Both boxes contained real cowhide slippers. (Why does Amazon NOT let you choose zero stars?)

My only disappointment in these slippers, was when I opened the box, to see
LEATHER UPPER. Someone apparently thought it was funny to add FAUX to the description. If you’re looking for leather, however, they’re excellent slippers, well-made, comfortable, and look nice. Would have given them a definite 5-star rating, if they had actually been faux, as I had wanted.

These slippers are just fine. good for everywhere, not just in the house. Keeps my feet warm and very soft inside. As for these Vegans getting upset about the use of leather….WA-WA. Just wish they made them out of Polar bear fur, now that’s warmth :)

I’m thinking about buying some of these slippers, but the pictures are confusing me. Some of them show a furry inner lining, but some of the pictures show a padded fabric lining. Which is it? I’m from a warm climate, so I prefer the fabric.

But the inside gets dirty easily and hard (if possible) to clean
